Final Year Project
Project Title
Personalized Outfit Recommendation System
Description
My final year project, the Personalized Outfit Recommendation System, aims to enhance the shopping experience of the customers by creating a more personalized experience. The idea behind this project is to address the key issue, product curation, by providing expert recommendations across different clothing items to the end consumer. Our web tool would allow shoppers to visually search the catalogue of e-commerce stores by uploading pictures of outfits they like or taking a photo with their phone’s camera. Our web tool aims to provide two sets of recommendations when an item is being viewed: items being visually similar (and of the same type) to that currently being viewed, and items visually complementary to that being viewed, allowing users to ‘complete the look’. This allows stores to up-sell and increase the average sales of their products. (Group Project)
